I have this question because my son has to travel to Orlando, he is just 8 Years old I have seen flight with American airlines that is suitable as per the timings and fares too, Need to know if he can travel alone on flight and if yes what are the formalities for that.
As per American Airlines minor travel policy, 8 Years old can travel alone with certain conditions that you have obtain unaccompanied minor travel service with the payment of $150 each way, It has to be a non stop flight and you have to escort the child till the gate and someone has to be available at the arrival gate to pick up the child you will have to provide this information to airline at the counter and this must not be the last flight on that route and must not be a red eye flight along with the following given condition
Nonstop flights, or any connecting flight through Charlotte, NC (CLT), Washington Reagan, D.C. (DCA), Dallas Fort Worth, TX (DFW), New York, NY (JFK and LGA), Los Angeles, CA (LAX), Miami, FL (MIA), Chicago, IL (ORD), Philadelphia, PA (PHL) and Phoenix, AZ (PHX)
